About this app

Medication reminders that handle real schedules.

Pillbox is a health & fitness app from Aurora Health. It was built around one idea: give people a tool that opens quickly, works when the network does not, and does not ask for an account before it is useful.

What you get
• Complex dosing schedules
• Refill countdown
• Carer notifications

How it behaves
Everything that can happen on the device happens on the device. Where Pillbox does need a server, it tells you before it sends anything. Settings are plain, exports are open formats, and nothing is locked to this app if you decide to move on.

Pillbox is free, with no advertising and no in-app purchases.

Aurora Health reads every support message. If something is broken, write in and it gets looked at — the release notes name the people who reported each fix.

  • Better than the big names

Been using this for about four months now and it has not let me down once. The offline support is the real selling point for me. Happy to raise the rating once it is fixed.

  • Broken since the update

Three stars down to two after this week. Now it crashes whenever I open the settings screen on Android 14. Happy to raise the rating once it is fixed.

  • Does exactly what it says

Exactly what I wanted and nothing I did not. The offline support is the real selling point for me. Will update this review if that changes.

  • Finally

This has quietly become one of the apps I open every day. Support replied to me in under a day with an actual answer. Will update this review if that changes.

  • Nearly five stars

Decent, with one annoyance I keep running into. I would like more control over notifications — it is all or nothing right now. Will update this review if that changes.

  • My daily driver

Exactly what I wanted and nothing I did not. Updates are regular and the changelog actually says what changed. Worth the money.
