About this app

Shift planning that your team can actually read.

Roster Board is a business app from Cobalt Works. It was built around one idea: give people a tool that opens quickly, works when the network does not, and does not ask for an account before it is useful.

What you get
• Drag-and-drop week view
• Shift swaps with approval
• Overtime and break rules
• Payroll CSV export

How it behaves
Everything that can happen on the device happens on the device. Where Roster Board does need a server, it tells you before it sends anything. Settings are plain, exports are open formats, and nothing is locked to this app if you decide to move on.

Roster Board is free to download, with optional purchases for the advanced features.

Cobalt Works reads every support message. If something is broken, write in and it gets looked at — the release notes name the people who reported each fix.

  • My daily driver

Been using this for about four months now and it has not let me down once. Support replied to me in under a day with an actual answer. Will update this review if that changes.

  • Better than the big names

Been using this for about four months now and it has not let me down once. Updates are regular and the changelog actually says what changed. Recommended regardless.

  • Nearly there

Solid, but I am holding back a star for now. The search could be a lot faster once you have a few thousand items.

    Jonas E. · 7 months ago · version 13.5.5 · 57 found this helpful

  • Quietly excellent

Surprisingly good for something this small. The tablet layout is thought through rather than stretched.

    Owen P. · 7 months ago · version 13.5.5 · 322 found this helpful

  • Not what it was

Wanted to like this one. Half the features I paid for moved behind a second subscription. Happy to raise the rating once it is fixed.

    Ines C. · 7 months ago · version 13.5.5 · 249 found this helpful

  • Does exactly what it says

Does one job and does it properly. Starts instantly even on my old phone. Recommended regardless.
