About this app

Full manual camera with RAW capture.

Aperture Manual is a photography app from Driftwood Collective. It was built around one idea: give people a tool that opens quickly, works when the network does not, and does not ask for an account before it is useful.

What you get
• Shutter, ISO and focus peaking
• DNG and HEIC output
• Focus bracketing
• Histogram and zebras

How it behaves
Everything that can happen on the device happens on the device. Where Aperture Manual does need a server, it tells you before it sends anything. Settings are plain, exports are open formats, and nothing is locked to this app if you decide to move on.

Aperture Manual is a one-off purchase. There is no subscription and no advertising.

Driftwood Collective reads every support message. If something is broken, write in and it gets looked at — the release notes name the people who reported each fix.

  • Does exactly what it says

This has quietly become one of the apps I open every day. The offline support is the real selling point for me. Recommended regardless.

  • Better than the big names

Switched from a paid competitor and have not looked back. The tablet layout is thought through rather than stretched. Recommended regardless.

  • Worth every penny

Exactly what I wanted and nothing I did not. Updates are regular and the changelog actually says what changed. Will update this review if that changes.

  • Fast and out of the way

Been using this for about four months now and it has not let me down once. The offline support is the real selling point for me. Worth the money.

  • Finally

Been using this for about four months now and it has not let me down once. Starts instantly even on my old phone. Recommended regardless.
