About this app

Past papers and timed mocks for WAEC and NECO.

Beacon Exam Prep is a education app from Beacon Education. It was built around one idea: give people a tool that opens quickly, works when the network does not, and does not ask for an account before it is useful.

What you get
• Twelve years of past papers
• Timed mock exams
• Data-light question packs

How it behaves
Everything that can happen on the device happens on the device. Where Beacon Exam Prep does need a server, it tells you before it sends anything. Settings are plain, exports are open formats, and nothing is locked to this app if you decide to move on.

Beacon Exam Prep is free and supported by advertising. No purchase is required to use it.

Beacon Education reads every support message. If something is broken, write in and it gets looked at — the release notes name the people who reported each fix.

  • Nearly there

Decent, with one annoyance I keep running into. I would like more control over notifications — it is all or nothing right now. Happy to raise the rating once it is fixed.

  • Does exactly what it says

Surprisingly good for something this small. Support replied to me in under a day with an actual answer. Happy to raise the rating once it is fixed.

  • Fast and out of the way

Exactly what I wanted and nothing I did not. The offline support is the real selling point for me. Recommended regardless.

  • Quietly excellent

Exactly what I wanted and nothing I did not. Updates are regular and the changelog actually says what changed. Will update this review if that changes.

  • Worth every penny

Surprisingly good for something this small. Updates are regular and the changelog actually says what changed. Give it a try before you pay for anything else.

  • Good with caveats

Decent, with one annoyance I keep running into. I would like more control over notifications — it is all or nothing right now. Happy to raise the rating once it is fixed.
