About this app

Turn your notes into flashcards automatically.

Study Loop is a education app from Vellum Press. It was built around one idea: give people a tool that opens quickly, works when the network does not, and does not ask for an account before it is useful.

What you get
• Imports PDF and DOCX notes
• Cloze deletion generator
• Shared decks

How it behaves
Everything that can happen on the device happens on the device. Where Study Loop does need a server, it tells you before it sends anything. Settings are plain, exports are open formats, and nothing is locked to this app if you decide to move on.

Study Loop is free to download, with optional purchases for the advanced features.

Vellum Press reads every support message. If something is broken, write in and it gets looked at — the release notes name the people who reported each fix.

  • Quietly excellent

Surprisingly good for something this small. Updates are regular and the changelog actually says what changed. Worth the money.

  • Please fix the crash

Wanted to like this one. It logged me out and my local data did not come back. Worth the money.

    Ines C. · 2 months ago · version 12.16.1 · 8 found this helpful

  • Not what it was

Wanted to like this one. Ads started appearing in places that make the app hard to use. Will update this review if that changes.

    Elena R. · 2 months ago · version 12.16.1 · 250 found this helpful

  • Fast and out of the way

Switched from a paid competitor and have not looked back. The tablet layout is thought through rather than stretched. Will update this review if that changes.

  • Fast and out of the way

Exactly what I wanted and nothing I did not. Updates are regular and the changelog actually says what changed.

  • Nearly five stars

Good core app, a few rough edges. The widget resets its size after a reboot. Happy to raise the rating once it is fixed.
