About this app

Offline transit maps and live departures.

Meridian Transit is a travel app from Meridian Apps. It was built around one idea: give people a tool that opens quickly, works when the network does not, and does not ask for an account before it is useful.

What you get
• Offline networks for 180 cities
• Live arrivals where available
• Step-free routing
• Fare estimates

How it behaves
Everything that can happen on the device happens on the device. Where Meridian Transit does need a server, it tells you before it sends anything. Settings are plain, exports are open formats, and nothing is locked to this app if you decide to move on.

Meridian Transit is free to download, with optional purchases for the advanced features.

Meridian Apps reads every support message. If something is broken, write in and it gets looked at — the release notes name the people who reported each fix.

  • Please fix the crash

Wanted to like this one. Ads started appearing in places that make the app hard to use. Give it a try before you pay for anything else.

  • My daily driver

Switched from a paid competitor and have not looked back. Support replied to me in under a day with an actual answer. Happy to raise the rating once it is fixed.

  • Quietly excellent

Does one job and does it properly. The tablet layout is thought through rather than stretched. Will update this review if that changes.

    Tobias L. · 3 months ago · version 4.11.2 · 167 found this helpful

  • Better than the big names

Surprisingly good for something this small. Battery use is negligible, which I cannot say for the alternatives. Happy to raise the rating once it is fixed.

  • Quietly excellent

This has quietly become one of the apps I open every day. Updates are regular and the changelog actually says what changed. Will update this review if that changes.

  • Almost perfect

Works well most of the time. The search could be a lot faster once you have a few thousand items. Recommended regardless.
