About this app

Design a metro network that people will actually ride.

Transit Tycoon is a simulation app from Meridian Apps. It was built around one idea: give people a tool that opens quickly, works when the network does not, and does not ask for an account before it is useful.

What you get
• Real ridership modelling
• Thirty real city maps
• Sandbox and challenge modes

How it behaves
Everything that can happen on the device happens on the device. Where Transit Tycoon does need a server, it tells you before it sends anything. Settings are plain, exports are open formats, and nothing is locked to this app if you decide to move on.

Transit Tycoon is a one-off purchase. There is no subscription and no advertising.

Meridian Apps reads every support message. If something is broken, write in and it gets looked at — the release notes name the people who reported each fix.

  • Fast and out of the way

This has quietly become one of the apps I open every day. Updates are regular and the changelog actually says what changed. Recommended regardless.

  • Nearly there

Decent, with one annoyance I keep running into. The widget resets its size after a reboot. Will update this review if that changes.

  • Fast and out of the way

Does one job and does it properly. Battery use is negligible, which I cannot say for the alternatives. Give it a try before you pay for anything else.

  • Fast and out of the way

Surprisingly good for something this small. Updates are regular and the changelog actually says what changed. Happy to raise the rating once it is fixed.

  • Fast and out of the way

Surprisingly good for something this small. The offline support is the real selling point for me. Give it a try before you pay for anything else.

  • Finally

Been using this for about four months now and it has not let me down once. Starts instantly even on my old phone. Give it a try before you pay for anything else.
