About this app

Notes that open instantly and sync quietly.

Northwind Notes is a productivity app from Northwind Labs. It was built around one idea: give people a tool that opens quickly, works when the network does not, and does not ask for an account before it is useful.

What you get
• Offline-first with conflict-free sync
• Markdown, checklists and tables
• Shared notebooks
• Quick capture widget and tile

How it behaves
Everything that can happen on the device happens on the device. Where Northwind Notes does need a server, it tells you before it sends anything. Settings are plain, exports are open formats, and nothing is locked to this app if you decide to move on.

Northwind Notes is free to download, with optional purchases for the advanced features.

Northwind Labs reads every support message. If something is broken, write in and it gets looked at — the release notes name the people who reported each fix.

Fast and out of the way

Switched from a paid competitor and have not looked back. Updates are regular and the changelog actually says what changed. Worth the money.

Fast and out of the way

This has quietly become one of the apps I open every day. The tablet layout is thought through rather than stretched. Will update this review if that changes.

Good with caveats

Solid, but I am holding back a star for now. Importing from my old app lost some of my formatting. Happy to raise the rating once it is fixed.

Does exactly what it says

This has quietly become one of the apps I open every day. Starts instantly even on my old phone. Happy to raise the rating once it is fixed.

Broken since the update

Three stars down to two after this week. It logged me out and my local data did not come back. Happy to raise the rating once it is fixed.

Does exactly what it says

Been using this for about four months now and it has not let me down once. Support replied to me in under a day with an actual answer. Recommended regardless.
